The Family & Friends CPR course is aimed at members of the public, family members, relatives and friends of adults and children at risk for sudden death. It is ideal for laypersons with no prior medical knowledge who want to learn life-saving rescue skills for their loved ones.

The course provides a basic orientation to the skills of CPR and choking for adults, children and infants, and how to activate the emergency services.


Adult, Child, and Infant CPR: Learn the essential techniques of cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) for adults, children, and infants enabling you to provide life-saving chest compressions and rescue breaths tailored to different age groups.

Heart Attacks: Understand the signs and symptoms of heart attacks and how to respond quickly and effectively to potentially save a life.

Choking – Conscious and Unconscious: Acquire the skills to address choking emergencies for conscious and unconscious adults, children, and infants. Learn how to perform the Heimlich maneuver and back blows, as well as the necessary steps for unconscious choking victims.

Adult, Child, and Infant Rescue Breathing: Learn the techniques of rescue breathing for adults, children, and infants. This includes providing artificial ventilation to sustain breathing and oxygenation in individuals who are not breathing adequately on their own.

Hands-Only CPR: Discover how to perform Hands-Only CPR, a technique that focuses on chest compressions without the need for rescue breaths. This method is straightforward and effective, making it easy for bystanders to take quick action in an emergency.

Adult, Child, Infant AED: An introduction to use of an automated external defibrillator (AED) for adults, children, and infants. This device can help restore a normal heart rhythm during cardiac arrest.
